My 2yo’s party was a shitshow

My daughter turned 2 today. I planned a small intimate bbq on a Sunday because I wanted something small and everyone works tomorrow so everyone would most likely leave early. Well my brother invited 2 of his buddies and they brought out some liquor. We had got a few beers but once the shots started rolling in, my husband and daughters godfather went and got more beer. Well both of my sister in laws got lightweight drunk and just decided to drop all their beef out on the table with each other. At this point, everyone had already left and it was just our daughter’s godfather, my SIL’s and my SIL’s girlfriend. I had a feeling that once they started drinking and talking about the younger SIL’s dog, that things were gonna escalate. I was really hoping we’d get through one party without drama. Like really? At my 2YO’S BIRTHDAY PARTY ?! They were yelling and I tried to get them to separate and my husband told me to stay out of it as he was yelling at the drunker one to get out of the house. My parents wanted to intervene and help but I knew if they did, my mom would open her mouth and say something out of pocket and then they’d get on her so I told them to please go inside so my husband can deal with it. I’m hurt because I know this isn’t something I want to raise my daughter in and thinking that it’s normal but at the same time, I hate that our family bubble keeps getting smaller and smaller. I just wanted my daughter to have a good birthday, and although she won’t remember this, it sucks that she still had to see it. Don’t drink alcohol yall if you can’t handle it… also who drinks at kid’s birthday parties? I know it’s a Hispanic thing but damn… my poor baby, the presents made everything better at least..
