Trigger warning…. DV. Men killers in Halloween movies

How do you guys feel about this?

I’ve been watching a lot of horror movies, old ones like Halloween, nightmare before elm street, Friday the 13th

With domestic violence attacks being at an all time high, seeing these men murdering women is really unsettling to me. I’ve always loved horror movies and I really never felt this way until now. I find it inappropriate that these movies are glamorizing women being attacked. In all of the “old school” horror movies it’s always women being attacked

Like I said, I am a big horror fan, but idk, I would like to see some changes. I know the old movies are from a different time, but maybe future horror movies could have a different plot. Maybe only women murders? Or men attacking men, and if a women should be attacked, maybe a women aggressor? I don’t really know.
