Why won’t he!

I’m so lost. My partner is A VERY affectionate person. Always has to have touch and receive it. That’s his love language. Sex is also a big factor for him, he’s expressed this to me so much. Me being a mom of 3, a stay at home mom sometimes I’ve been tired in the past and not gonna lie we went through a time where sex wasn’t even a thing for a while. He would try but I just was so exhausted. Of course that passed everything’s been fine in our sex life till recently. Within the last month we have had sex twice. All initiated by me, if I didn’t he wouldn’t have even done anything with me. It almost makes me feel as if it’s a chore to him to do it with me. I truly feel like I’m not enough.

I have expressed this to him, I’ve questioned what’s going on bc like I said this is NOT like him. Sometimes it can be a little over bearing how affectionate and touchy he is and always wanting sex now all a sudden has 0 desire or interest. I’ve asked if anything was going on mentally, if he’s more stressed then normal that I don’t know about he just reassured me everything is fine, he loves me, still is attracted to me etc. So I don’t understand why this man won’t have sex with me like he used to always want too?!?!

After we talked about this last night, he texted me at work today saying tonighr he can’t wait to be with me and being sexual and then tonight rolls around, he wanted to watch this show and just went to bed. Before he went to sleep I said “ you failed” he said “ what do you mean ? “ I said “ your texts… about us tonight… it never happened” he said “ I’m sorry, “ turned around and went to sleep.

I don’t think he’s cheating. I mean I don’t even wanna think that’s a possibility. I’ve had to get over some insecurities in the past since he’s a travel RN and works around a bunch of women. I just don’t think he’d be cheating but why else??? He swears nothings wrong no stress nothing different. Is this normal? I just feel very alone right now/:
