Late period

So I’ve been off birth control for a year and a half. Ever since I got off my period have been on time and the usual 6-7 days for me. Well a week and a half ago my period came 9 days late. I took a test and it was negative. The morning of day 9 I started my period and it was rather heavy. It lasted 8 days and then second to last day I got a yeast infection that was gone in 2 days of having it. This period was weird and I’ve never in my years had this happen. The latest any period has ever been was 3 days. Idk what’s going on with my body. If my next period is late ima go see my gynecologist.
