Birth story - 3rd baby, 1st induction
So I had my 3rd baby boy at 39 weeks + 1 via induction as I had bad bladder incontinence. This was a very difficult pregnancy and birth. Was induced using the balloon which was inserted Thursday at 4pm. Went home with contractions every 5-3 mins for 4 hours that then went away. The balloon fell out at 6am the next morning and we headed back to hospital to find I had dilated from a 1 to 3. My waters were broken when we arrived and oxytocin was started and it took till 11 to dilate from 3 to 5. I was very disheartened to find this out as it was getting intense from the oxytocin. However I then went from 5 to 10cm and after 3 pushes he arrived at 12 noon. I feel like I screamed like a demon being exorcised but he is finally here and I will not be having anymore kids! That was extremely intense and not what I expected but of course worth it to see my 7 pound 1 ounce baby boy healthy and happy.
