Should I have another baby shower?

So back when I was having my son, I invited a lot of family and friends to the baby shower. I had a list of things that we needed and everyone was excited. But when it came down to the actual baby shower, only like 3 people sowed up and everyone else either made excuses or just didn't answer back. And they knew for months in advance, plus I updated frequently. Then those who did come, brought me stuff I didn't need. (I am very grateful that they went out of their way to buy me stuff, im not selfish) but my question is that when conceive my second, should I have a baby shower? I really want to but I'm afraid of last time happening all over again. Plus on my son's first firthday, the same thing happened. I asked for diapers only, and only 1 person brought any and I said no toys cuz he has enough and the other 4 people out of 50+ that actually did show up, brought him stuff I said not to bring. (Again I am grateful, just upset)
