First field trip, need advice ???

Good morning so I just got informed yesterday my daughters new day care is taking them on a mini field trip only like 20min away but when I asked about the car seat situation and the director stated she’s not required to be in one 🤔 mind you she is only 3 years old. I would really love for her to go but I know I can’t leave work as I just started in august and undergoing specific training that they dislike for me to miss. As of right now I don’t have family where I live and seems no one can go with her, would u let her go on the trip???

I personally wouldn’t let my child go unless the daycare follows car seat safety.

I completely understand your point of view. However, it is no different than kids riding the school bus except that those seats don’t even have seat belts.

Big no. My kids daycare has a mini bus with car seats  for all the kids. They even make the kids use them for after school pickups (5-7 year olds). I’m not letting a 3yo sit in a normal seat

How are they planning to transport these kids if not in a car seat? What IS their plan?

It's ILLEGAL to not have a kid that young in a car seat!

Hmmm, no. I also would find a new daycare. If they’re taking short cuts like this imagine what else they’re doing.

That sounds weird to me. My daycare used a van and had booster seats for anyone going. I wouldn't let my kid go with a driver I don't know AND out of a carseat.
