Brushing/Styling my 1 year olds hair

My 1 and a half year old daughter hates having anything on her head and will immediately try to pull it out and gets irritated. (bows,hairbands, hair pins, pigtails) I have a hard time styling it because she will mess it up immediately by running her hands through her hair. So I usually leave her natural hair as it is and not even try sometimes. Her hair is wavy which I like but it gets messy so fast and it gets on her face(its long). Any tips on styling a little girls hair who ruins it real fast? I want her to look nice when we go out, for pictures, and I also don’t want her hair on her face because it bothers her.

Also any baby hair products you guys recommend?
