My sister is a travel agent and frequently has last minute deals to Indonesia, India, and more and my husband ENCOURAGES me to go by myself and see the world. 
Yes he would like to see it too and yes I would love for him to come with me but because it’s only free for one person and it’s too hard to travel with an infant, he always tells me to live my dreams and see the world. 
If you don’t have an SO like that then I feel bad for you. 
It’s a wonderful feeling to be FULLY and UNCONDITIONALLY supported.

If that’s my next vacation then heck yeah I want him to go and scope things out, find the good food so I don’t have to. But I’d also ask that I get a weekend to do my own shit while he hangs with the kids.

My husband and I haven't been separated since we first started dating almost 6 years ago. There's no way he could leave the state let alone country without me. If we weren't so close it might not bother me however it depends on how close to thanksgiving they plan on leaving. Holidays are very important in our family and my husband likes to take over and be the chef once a year. 🤣

My husband had the opportunity to go to Milan with some friends for a few days while I was pregnant and we had an 18mo. We were supposed to go to Italy, including Milan, for our babymoon and had to cancel it due to COVID restrictions. I was thrilled he had the chance to go! He had a great time. And now he knows a bunch of places that we can go whenever we get around to taking a family trip there.
