12 month old and TV

How often does your 12 month old watch TV? Either at home, with a care taker, etc. my hubby watches our baby while I’m working and sometimes resorts to TV (we have DVD episodes to avoid commercials). We originally didn’t want to expose her to TV until a little later but I went back to work and my husband couldn’t manage without it. Under what circumstances do you used the TV, when and how how long? And how old is your child or when did you introduce it? I’m mostly talking about a television. We don’t use our phone screens with our baby. He is interactive with her. He doesn’t just plop her down by herself. He talks with her and explains things. Anyway how about you?
