Do you take any special precautions for you and your kids like keeping windows closed, staying indoors, staying off treated lawns, etc?

Answer

Most of my neighbourhood, including my own land, gets sprayed. It doesn't bother any of us. No one takes special precautions or puts signs out. Of course people keep their windows closed when the yeard is being sprayed as it's common sense. Everyone is also respectful of everyone else's yard and doesn't go into their yard. The only exception to that is my land, people walk across it since we don't have a fence and since we're on a corner, but we are about to fence in most of our land and no one will be able to cross it anymore. We are also discontinuing our pest control now that the issue is taken care of so that we may continue with our homsteading.

We get our lawn sprayed and they put a sign out to warn people with pets etc. it takes 3 hours for it to fully dry before going on the lawn.

I don't consider any of those to be special precautions, just common sense. Yes, while they are spraying I keep the windows closed and we stay inside. They put signs out to let us know what time the grounds will be safe again (usually by 5pm that day) and we follow that.
