Should I be worried ?

My boy is nearly 15 months and he doesn’t say any words. He’s occasionally said things that sound like mum or dad. I read he should have at least one word but most have around 3, like ‘juice’. He didn’t babble much as a baby baby but he shouts babble now. Did anyone have the same thing with their child and they turn out ok??

My son didn’t start talking till about 2 1/2.. he’s 3 now and he talks often. I wouldn’t worry about it. Most pediatricians will say they’re “delayed” but that’s simply not true. Once they start talking you won’t be able to get them to stop. Lol

No do not worry! My daughter was closer to 2 when she started saying anything intelligible 😆 She is 3 now and still a bit hard to understand sometimes whereas my son was very articulate at an early age. If you’re really concerned talk to your doctor but 15 months is still very young.

If his understanding is good, then he might just not want to talk. If you say "where's dad", or "milk?" or another simple phrase, does he understand? If not, then it might suggest something is up, but I wouldn't worry just yet.
