Cold sore or just a cut that got infected?

1st off I’ve never had a cold sore ever in my entire life. Two days ago my mouth look like the 1st thinking it was just a cut. Then the redness went away completely yesterday then all of a sudden I look at my camera today and there’s little bumps and lots of redness. No pain. I put some cold sore medicine on it just in case but it wasn’t itchy no tingling no pain. Nothing. Until now it’s a bit itchy after putting the cream on. Can cold sores just pop up with no wearing. And now to I get it gone faster if it is.
