Elfs ?

Ladies excuse my dumbness my family never have done anything like that for Christmas ever since LO we celebrate Christmas eve and Christmas Day on eve we have Get dolled up and have dinner together and just enjoy each other, on Christmas Day we open presents and play games and eat left overs and make something else for dinner all at grandmas house,when she passed was then at my parents house. Lately on FB I’ve seen post of pictures of Elfs and ideas. This is a screenshot. Can someone explain what this is?? I tried reading the comments and seems like everyone knows what this is lol except me I have a 11 month old and idk if this is something cute or what? How does it work? What is it? Just takes photosoot of elfs and do what? Lol?😂

Anyways I have a 2 yr old girl and I think it’s a cute idea, I can’t wait to do it! I’ll have a much bigger pregnant belly by then but we’re definitely going to do it at my home!🎄🎁 💝  I’m not going to tell her that it reports to Santa tho. That’s not how I want to go about good/bad behavior situations. Anyways, yeah I think you should do it if it’s something that looks fun to you!

This is “Elf on a shelf”. I personally don’t do it because I don’t have that kind of energy 😂 but the elf arrives in your home in December 1 and apparently reports your behavior to Santa or something like that. The elf gets up to shenanigans every day. Some people just hide it daily for the kids to find. Some people go all out and do what you see in this screenshot.

Elf on the shelf will never be a thing in my house. The magic for the kids is great but that's just another thing I have to remember/worry about daily for an entire month, no thank you.

It's called elf on the shelf. The basic premise is that every night while the kid is sleeping you move the elf somewhere. It can just move. It doesn't have to be elaborate. Just that it moves. It's keeping a watch on the kids for Santa. Kids are not allowed to touch it at all. 11 months is pretty young. I'd say 3-4 you could start it.
