Thoughts on Aloysius?

I accidentally fell in love with the name Aloysius - thoughts?

(pronounced aloe-wishus, fo anyone who's not familiar with the spelling... It took me forever to get the hang of spelling it, which I do hesitate making a kid learn too lmao)

How about for a girl instead of a boy? My partner doesn't like it for a boy name, so I thought we wouldn't have to worry/argue about it if we weren't having a boy, then he turns around and says he DOES like it for a girl name. I'm not as sold on that idea, but he says it's the only way he'll go for it.

Anyways, I'd appreciate hearing thoughts on the name in general & specifically as a girl's name as well.
