Baby sleeps too much?

My son is almost 5 months old but he can't stay awake for a long time. He goes to sleep every 1,5 hour. Is that normal? This is my first so  🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

According to everything I've read about baby sleep, a baby at that age should only be awake for about 90 minutes at a time. 
Be glad that your baby will sleep on his own. Mine will stay awake for hours and fights naps 😩

Ito be honest I was never worried that my kid slept too much instead I was enjoying that blissful time by taking rest as well or doing some house chores. Later on you will be missing that time... 
Plus kids at that age do need a lot of sleep anyway to develop, relax and recharge their batteries...

That sounds like my son. He's almost 6 months h s old but recently has started extending his awake times. We are at 2 hours now then he starts to get sleepy. Sometimes he decides to stay awake for 4 hours. That usually ends in tears. Lol. 
Every baby is different.

I’m a first time mom too…I’ve noticed my son sleeps more when he’s teething/doesn’t feel good.
