My boyfriends mom lives with us. We pay rent weekly and she feels she should only pay one week per month she doesn’t buy groceries just her own snacks. We pay for everything. That’s not the issue though. There’s a lot of little things she does that drive me crazy. I buy snacks for myself and she’ll wait til I’m sleeping and eat them, she’s on disability even though she’s not really disabled so she gets paid once a month. She pays the first Friday of the month 362 for rent and then who knows what she does with her money because she won’t even buy drinks for herself she just drinks mine because my boyfriend drinks diet soda and water. There’s nothing worse than waking up thirsty and realizing there’s nothing to drink but tap water! We’re self employed subcontractors and she just invites herself to go with us almost everyday then sits there miserable and complains all day. She complains about my driving anytime we go anywhere like she didn’t know how I drive before she got in my vehicle. I try to go to the laundromat by myself to do laundry because I need alone time and she always just gets in the truck without even asking. She also snaps at the kids all the time and most of the time it’s for no reason. We go to dinner and she barely eats because she’s too busy staring at the kids just waiting for them to chew with their mouth open or something so she can yell at them. She also literally ate all of my daughters Halloween candy and then denied when my daughter found out and was crying about it. She complains about sweeping the floor and washing the dishes even though I come home from work and do all the real cleaning like scrubbing the toilet and bathtub. My boyfriend and I have a wonderful relationship and I’d hate to ruin it because of her. All advice is welcome! P.S his mom and I got along fine before she lived with us.
