What where your symptoms of gestational diabetes?

Question

Had my 36 week midwife appointment today and weighed 10.7st only gained two stone, but apparently I’m passed the 10kg threshold so have to be referred for gestational diabetes. I haven’t eaten particularly unhealthy I was very fit prior to conceiving (fitness freak and healthy eater) what were your symptoms? Currently had a water infection practically day one of pregnancy, constant weeing, tiredness , thirsty but that’s all. 
Worried my baby may be at risk of having problems, this is my second pregnancy, had no issues with DD.

No symptoms for me. You’re a little late in the game to be diagnosed with GD though. it doesn’t have anything to do with how healthy you are previously or if you didn’t have it before, every pregnancy is different.

Both pregnancies I’ve had GD. No signs/symptoms that showed and only found out due to testing. Even if you have gestational diabetes your baby can/will be perfectly healthy.

I didn’t think mother weight gain was a symptom but I could be wrong. I mean some women lose or gain a bunch and don’t have GD. I never gained very much at all when I had borderline GD with my son. Equally, my son never measured big either so the only indicator was the glucose test

I gained 10lbs in a month, I was constantly thirsty and always hungry. I could have ate all day if I allowed myself to. I was also more fatigued than what would be considered normal. Along with eating I could have slept all day too. Of course I didn’t but I sure as heck wanted to.
