So I posted last night about my parents getting a divorce and this morning. My mom left the house before my dad came home and he called me hysterically crying saying he doesn’t want to be here without her and I’m worried about him hurting himself. Can I take his gun for safe keeping if I’m worried about that? What do I do?

So I live about an hour and a half away from my dad, the weather was terrible, and am pregnant so my s/o thought it would be better if I didn’t go. I ended up not going but I am keeping is contact with him frequently. He seems to be calming down a bit but I told him if I felt concerned I was going to do what I needed to and he agreed that was okay. I’ve never seen or heard my dad so upset, not even when his dad passed.
