FTM here. My 9 MO has been sick for a week, he came back positive for parainfluenza. He’s had fever, body aches congestion and he’s gotten swollen on his face. The drs tell me to just manage his symptoms with medication prescription they gave me. Fever went away after a couple of days but that’s when he swoll up and became more congested. Now he has a fever again after 2-3 days without one. I fear his heart rate is a bit faster than infant average but I have no way of checking.

I’m hoping for advice if it’s a normal process they go through. Idk I keep getting the same answers to give it more days until it passes but I haven’t slept properly in days and neither has my son since he basically chokes up in his own mucous and has labored breathing.
