How do you know?

I’m genuinely curious about this… How do you know a guy will be a good dad ? I’ve seen so many relationships going to 💩 after having kids because women don’t feel supported enough from their partners, or they stay but complain all the time, like me… I swear there are days we’re I wish I had chosen better but that takes me to think how do you know ? Pets? Maybe but still they’re not as demanding as kids are…

Pets? Not really. Ive seen guys great with their dogs or vice versa not into pets and it isnt always matching their parenting. I think someone who is family oriented as one thing. Like he genuinely enjoys family time and activities vs just doing his own thing. Also, is he a giving type of person, or only if it benefits him? The next thing is involvement at home. A lot of these guys never lift a finger at home and she just tolerates him and marries him anyway or has kids with him, then theyre all upset that he doesnt help out. But hes never helped out. Hes the same, it's just that now youre overwhelmed trying to juggle everything and you somehow thought he would change.

if they are good with kids, responsible at work and with finances, idk just good ethic and how they get along with their parents. the relationship with their parents says a lot about them. like for example my bf he's really close to his mom and seeks out for her cause she raised him. so he sets out the example from his mom to raise a kid.

I’ve seen people use pets as an example, but I disagree with that one. My husband was a terrible dog dad and he’s a great and very involved human dad. I babysat for friends a lot before we ever had kids and he’d usually help me with babysitting. I knew he’d be a good dad through those experiences.
