Question

Is retinol worth it!?! I keep seeing like you may have a period of breakouts and that’s just the last thing I would like if I have to wait 3-6 months for this stuff to really work😭

With gentler retinoids, this isn’t as much of a problem, but i began using a prescription strength retinoid (proactive md adapaline gel) about 2 and a half months ago and that adjustment period is no joke. My skin was so broken out and dry for about a month, BUT THEN it started clearing up and it has helped a lot. I am still somewhat in that adjustment stage because my acne is still there, but it’s not as bad as before I started using the product and i can see the light at the end of the tunnel towards acne free skin. If you have really bad acne like i did it’s something you may want to try because although it sucks at first, i feel like it was worth it

I have never had any sort of breakouts from retinol products. I really like Sunday Riley products, for me there wasn't any period of adjustment.

I'm a big fan of retinol products. Some are gentler than others. I never had acne breakouts from using retinol.
