Did you put your baby daddy’s name down on your child’s birth certificate even tho y’all wasn’t together during the pregnancy?
Or if you are still waiting to give birth, are you going to put his name down? 
Just asking coz I am a single mama & I am not sure if I should or not ☹️

I personally would not list the father if he wasn't involved. I think this is just something that is TOTALLY up to you such as giving the child his last name.

Yes. He is still my children’s father whether he is in a romantic relationship with me or not.

You should definitely put his name on the birth certificate, biologically he’s the father. If you ever went on cash aid or cal works or try to get child support you wouldn’t be able to bc his name wouldn’t be on the certificate

With my first two children I did not list him down as their father. He was very abusive and on drugs and never helped at all. He even pushed on my belly hard when I was sleeping and I am 7 months pregnant then. Hurt so badly.  But he started to Deny both kids which annoyed tf outta me but I let it go. And then in the process of asking for child support dna was done and it automatically put him on their birth certificates.

Does he want to be? States are different. I think they usually have to sign a form claiming paternity in order to be put on. Is he present?
