At what age did you take your child's monitor out of their room?

I have one in their room and one in their playroom. They share their room though (5 and 2 year old). If they had their own rooms though I’d probably stop right around now for my oldest. They are getting a bunk bed soon though and I’ll be using it more until my mommy paranoia wanes a bit 😂

I’ve never had the monitor on in my baby’s room overnight. I have a bit of anxiety about leaving it on and it being a fire risk! Luckily I can hear him from my bedroom

My daughter is nearly 5 and we still have it. It’s more for me than her because a couple times she’s called out for me in the night and I haven’t woken up despite her room being right next to mine. I wake up when it comes through the monitor.

I still use one for my 5 and 3 year old. I will probably use it a lot longer for my 5 year old since he has febrile seizures and also sleep walks occasionally (he only sleep walks when he has to go to the bathroom, so I try to make sure he goes before bed). We will probably stop using a baby monitor once my oldest grows out of his febrile seizures which could be closer to 7-8 years old.

My daughter is 3 and I still have a monitor in her room and probably won’t take it out for a while, her room is upstairs and on the other side of the house so I wouldn’t hear her if she just called for me without it. My 4 mo moved into his room last night so definitely won’t be taking his out anytime soon.

Ummm we never used one hahah. Maybe for two months with the first? Honestly, I found it a distraction for my own sleep  But we all sleep on the same floor

When we knew she could easily call us. But then she got a bigger room further away from ours and then we used it again for a while until we knew she would come to us. We stopped using it completely past 3 years old.

Probably not until 5 or 6 right we still have frequent night wakings
