What is pre-work out?

So I was at Walmart getting protein powder and so this pre-work out stuff. Is it worth getting? Has anyone taken it and seen a difference? What kind would you recommend?

I used to take pre workout and it definitely did give me a rush, but then I read that it’s really u healthy for you so I stopped using it. It’s basically just a huge boost of caffeine and some vitamins that’ll make your heart rate go up and make you feel really energetic. It made my hands and arms and nose tingly. If you do use is start with less than the serving size because it can be very strong and if you take too much it’s gonna suck, also make sure you only take it before working out because if you don’t work out after you can get really sick and your heart rate could stay elevated for a long time which isn’t healthy

Usually has caffeine. Increases your heart rate. It’s not going to “make you lose weight” it’s to give you energy while you work out.

Do you work out? When I ran every day and went to the gym I took it. It helps your body get a little bit more motivated and gives it more oomph to power through the work out. I always went to GNC or ordered online because Walmarts pre workout, I eventually got used to and didn’t give me enough “oomph” for my workouts. I felt like I was not having enough energy to get through them.
