Would you be okay with this?

My mom and I are on vacation at the beach. Everything we want to do is far away from each other and she has the idea of taking public transportation / the county bus to save money instead of getting a rental car. We have to keep waiting forever (20-30 minutes) each time we have to take the bus. And when we are on the bus, it’s super dangerous with a lot of people on drugs/ talking loudly to themselves. Would you be okay with taking public transportation (county bus system that people who live here use) on vacation?
