Would you go to an exes family members funeral ?

I was with my ex for 6 years. I was very close with his family. Since we broke up, I obviously don’t see his family as much anymore.

We have been broken up for 2 years. I have a new bf and he has a new girlfriend.

One of his family members that I was close to, passed away recently. Some of his family texted me and told me about the funeral.

I didn’t end up going to the funeral. I thought it would be awkward and I’m sure my ex wouldn’t want to see me. And my new bf probably would find it weird to go be around my ex and his family.

I think his family is upset that I didn’t go. M

Would you have went to the funeral? I just think it’s a weird position to be in.

Also I want to note that my ex is toxic and mentally abused me. So our relationship ended badly.
