Am I wrong

So my MIL has disrespected me multiple times. Basically, if I do something she doesn’t like, instead of talking to me she will yell and say disrespectful things. One example, my husband and I took the 4 hour drive to visit her and when we do she wants us to stay at her place. So that night we got there I took a shower and used one towel for my body and one for my hair. Which I’ve always done. Instead of asking me to use just one towel respectfully, she yells at me and says “idk how tf you do it back home, but we use one towel around here.”

Another example. My 2 yr old son made a mess. I’m always on top of it. This one time I didn’t clean it right away. She yells at me “idk how you were raised, but we clean up after our men. Your hygiene is bad.” Mind you, I have OCD and keep my house and her house spotless when I’m over. Anyone can vouch for me.

So we got into it the last time I drove 4 hours so she could see her grandson cause she told my husband and I she would watch our son and bailed on us. I don’t communicate with her anymore unless my bd goes overseas and he can’t send pics of our son, and I am not making the drive to see her anymore. My husbands mad at me although his mom is fully capable of driving to see us. He never sticks up for me. But am I wrong for falling back from her since she is my MIL?
