He’s trying to play me… Right?

*I know it probably sounds obvious but this is the first time I’ve actually grown a backbone with men. So please be gentle !

There was a guy I had a “situationship” with last summer. It lasted probably 2-3 months. He wanted a relationship with no title and (I feel like) lead me on. Would make plans but then would flake last second. Didn’t want me doing anything with anyone else but I had seen him commenting flirty stuff on other girls on Facebook and stuff (he didn’t know I knew, fbi mode lol). He was a dick at the end and I eventually moved on. I don’t remember how but we started talking a little bit again recently. We both ended up in relationships afterwards. Now he says he thinks he has feelings for me again. So he says he wants to “talk” but that his other relationship is too recent of a split to move on but swears that he really likes me and wants to invest in just me this time. But that he just wants to “let things grow naturally before we get together”. And then in the mean time he still wants me to stay exclusive to him 🙄. Which I think I would understand if it wasn’t for our past. Also, since then I have hinted at making plans once or twice and he still makes excuses. So When he told me that, I said “no, you just wanna fuck around and I’m not doing that again”. He got upset and said “I’m just trying to be healthy”, that he wishes I would understand, and said I am what he wants. But after all this time, I feel like he would really be with me if he really wanted to… right? Especially if he feels as much as he claims? I cut it off but now I feel bad 🤷🏼‍♀️
