genital hsv1 recurrent outbreak

i was recently diagnosed with genital hsv1, however it was a recurrent outbreak. i was prescribed valtrex 500mg for 3 days. it had now been 10 days exactly since i took my first set of pills, & 7 days since i finished them. i was diagnosed at urgent care, & won’t be able to see my obgyn until april 6 & my pcp until may (they’re always booked 😒) can someone please explain to me the stages of healing? i no longer have any open sores, but i still feel weird/tingly/slightly itchy but im in no pain, have no sores, no burning, or anything. can someone just tell me what they can about genital hsv1, healing, when i can have sex (my partner also has it) and etc?
