So I know this is gonna sound stupid

Before having my son. My periods were much different than they are now. And I want to understand them better. Before giving birth (GB) my periods were 3 days for the bleeding that was. First day straight bleeding clots. Kinda heavy. Second day still bleeding but less. By third day it was a light flow in the AM then spotting then nothing.

After GB, my period seems to be backwards I have spotting then a light flow. Then a medium flow then heavy for a couple days. Then it finally dies down about 4-5 days after it starts.

My question is. Is day one the day I have spotting and light flow or is it the day I have a medium flow?
