Family loss

I have not seen a therapist about this yet but I wanted some advice from you ladies.

I realized in my 20s now that I went through something during my teens that I think really affected me.

When I was a little girl, I hade a huge family. My grandparents were still alive and I had a ton of aunts and uncles and cousins. We would all get together for holidays , everyone’s birthdays, and more. It was so much fun. I had a great family and support system.

During my teens, it seemed like every year a family member found out that they had cancer and passed away. We lost about 5 family members to cancer in 8 years.

Now the family that is left have all done there own thing and we aren’t close anymore. It was been 7-8 years since I’ve seen some family members that I was very close to back then.

I miss my family and wish everyone would get back together.

Now as an adult, I feel like I am lonely and anxious. I feel like I don’t have a support system anymore. 😔
