Gestational Diabetes/Big baby
I have an appointment with an MD. To go over a planned C-section. I am nervous because my midwife sent me over for a referral today said it’s optional if I wanna get one due to my baby being 9 pounds at 38 weeks. I also had one miscarriage that ended when I was 4 months. So that makes me high risk according to them. I have gestational diabetes even tho my numbers are pretty normal. My baby is in a down position (anterior). My baby head and abdominal area is measuring at 41 weeks already and my midwife is concerned of a possible shoulder distocia. I also have a very small pelvic area I don’t know if that matters and I am 4 1/2 feet tall at 160 lbs. I just have a question for y’all if I should consider the planned C-section? Or if shoulder distocia isn’t as big as they make it out to be I know there’s risks but I’m honestly scared of losing my rainbow baby if I decide to have him naturally. I just wanna know pros and cons. Any advice would be helpful
