Has anyone seen this rash before?

Hey ladies I’m not looking for medical advice. I will be taking my son in to a walk in this evening as his doctors office does not have an appointment until may 17th 🙄 I’m just curious if anyone has seen this type of rash before? It started out very faint, I thought he was getting HFM but he hasn’t experienced any other symptoms and neither has my husband or I. We don’t have a rash either just my son. The first picture was the beginning of April and the second picture is now. It is non blanching and is purple. Almost looks like bruising or blood vessels that have bursted. It is not bruising as it has gradually appeared and darkened. It does not go away or get lighter when we press on it. No fever, no other symptoms.
