Do you cuddle/rock your baby to sleep?

Do you cuddle/rock your baby to sleep and your baby sleeps through the night absolutelyfine? I fully understand about helping your baby become independent sleepers but they are only little once. Our 7month old loves being cuddled, we then lay him down drowsy. He hates being put in his cot fully awake and will cry bloody murder. And we arent fans of CIO. He is waking in the night but I think weve created a habbit of when he wakes he comes in bed with me. I have a bed in his room.

I held/ nursed my baby to sleep every night and she slept through the night perfectly (once she was able to sleep through the night that is). She’s now 15 months and self weaned, and goes right into the crib awake with no more cuddles needed

We started laying our girls down awake from the beginning. No CIO. If they cried, we intervened, but bit by bit they needed less and less help to fall asleep. I love cuddling my babies but I also love how quick and easy it is to put them to bed.

No, we did a quick cuddle after feeding but I’ve put both my kids down awake since they were very little and they never cried (if they did we would go in right away). I found the more I rocked/shushed/patted the more it kept them awake. Neither would fall asleep in my arms or on me after the 6 week mark which I was kind of sad about. They are both great sleepers though, we didn’t do any sleep training, my oldest was sleeping 12 hours consistently at 8 months (and still does now at 4 years old) and my youngest  started sleeping 12 hours at 5 months, I was surprised but I’ll take it

Yes. I've rocked both my babies to sleep. The oldest has always been more restless at night and has had several wakings due to her missing a pacifier.
My youngest falls asleep with a bottle at 9 months old now and sleeps through the night almost always.
Rocking to sleep doesn't create bad habits or effect how much or little they'll need you at night.
