Putting a special-needs toddler in daycare?

I don’t know if this is the proper term, so hopefully that doesn’t offend anyone, but my son is developmentally delayed. He is only two, he’s getting tested for autism tomorrow actually.

He is delayed in speech, but also delayed in almost everything else. He doesn’t talk, doesn’t communicate in any other way, other than crying or whining when he needs or wants something. I was hoping that there would be a daycare dedicated to kids with special needs because I worry about putting him in daycare with other kids or with people who aren’t familiar with these things. I just don’t want anyone to get frustrated with him. And I really need to work and I can’t right now because I don’t just want to put my son anywhere. Is there any resources I can reach out to that anyone knows of? Someone told me to go to the welfare office?
