dead ex new bf

I was with somebody 3 years ago that passed tragically. Its the first death I ever experienced especially close to me. I’ve been in a new relationship and have done what I think is respectful to both sides. I’ve taken down pictures of him since me and my current bf moved together. I hardly post him anymore in remembrance. I went to school and grew up with him and his sister so his sister keeps in touch sometimes I just check on her mental health.. it was her only brother. We were friends longer than we were together. My current bf saw messages between me and his sister and made a comment that I still think about my ex. I don’t talk about him as though he was the love of my life because he wasn’t .. it was just a very tragic thing in my life that I experienced with other people and we keep in touch. I feel bad because I don’t want him to think I’m stuck on my dead ex…
