Just removed my IUD

Just had my IUD removed. Something has seemed off for a while now and the only change I could think of was the IUD replacement about a year and a half ago. At first visit they couldnt find it 😰 It was painful and i bled for 2 days after. 2nd visit they used an ultrasound to find it. The strings were coiled up and it was slightly embedded. No blood but it was still painful when it was removed. I dont know what to expect now that its out. Husband and I opted to stay away from Birth Control and just use condoms. Anyone else having a similar experience?
