Can you be 1-3cm dilated with no signs or pains?

I'm 39+2 & due a sweep at 39+6.
I may or may not be dilated only the midwife will know!
However, I know some people may get the sweep and be 1-3 cm dilated already! 
Is it unlikely that I am a bit dilated if I don't get any pains etc? I have barely any symptoms 😢 because I have no discomfort or pains etc I feel like my cervix isn't ready or it's shut!!!

With my first I was 3cm dilated and no pain, with my twins I was 6cm dilated and no pain.  Still felt normal and didn’t even realize my babies were moving on down.

I had no pain and i was 3 cm dilated. I went up to 5-7cm with pain that i could bare, it was painful but i was able to breathe through them. I used sex and him finishing inside to help thin out my cervix & circular motions on the bouncy balls.
