He says he witnessed a kidnapping

When I was seeing this guy he asked me if I wanted to get food with him so I agreed. He asked where and I told him I like Panera Bread. He said he didn’t want to go to Bread because he believed he witnessed a kidnapping there. When I asked what happened he told me that he saw a white lady go up to a black baby in a stroller and she left with the baby. I told him what if maybe the baby was her child, or foster/adoptive child, or she was a step-mother or she was babysitting? After I asked he said he still didn’t want to go.
