In-laws better childcare than your parents?

Is it awful that I trust my in-laws with child care more than my parents?

Let me explain, my in-laws sometimes babysit my toddler and they both are amazing and they treat Lo nice and days are spend also educational. My parents, are lovely but they aren’t shy at yelling and believe in spanking. Even though my momma has said she’d never touch our toddler, I don’t believe it. Besides I don’t think they have the energy to spend quality time. I trust them with other things though, like finances, the house- adult stuff. But just somehow I can’t bring myself that my toddler feels safe and reliable. And I feel guilty since it’s my own family.
