Am I overthinking

My bd and I were talking about how we would get business started and he mentioned “I’d have so much more followers on Instagram if I was single”. Then not too long after that he said “if I was wanting to be single and think this relationship was too much I’d just tell u and break up with u”. Shit is rubbing me the wrong way. Idk if I’m overthinking it but why would he mention being single twice ? And when I tried to tell him it bothered me he brought up being single twice, he was getting mad.

Am I overthinking ?
