Scared baby is going to seriously hurt herself in crib

First time mom here and I’m not sure what to do. My daughter will be 7 months old next week and we just had to lower her crib. Well since doing so there has been a time where she stuck her leg through the bars and it got stuck, she also has sit herself up in her crib but fallen back and hits her head on the bars.

I’ve looked into bumpers to go around the inside but from the ones I’ve seen, they are all thick and i feel like it increases her chance for suffocation.

I don’t want her to end up seriously hurting herself. Has anyone else been in a similar situation? What have y’all done to help this problem?
