Bf not discussing important things with me first

Idk if im bugging so i want yall's opinions. Would it make you guys feel some type of way if you found out your bf talks about important things that can affect your relationship to your friend? Without you knowing anything about it and not discussing it with you first? Situation: so i was on my bf's phone talking to his aunt, the call ended and when it ended it opened right into his conversation with my friend who is also his friend but she was my friend first and it was basically saying that he will have a navy contract to China for a year etc and that he's gonna talk to me about it because we are currently living together and she said that its his career either way etc i did not know anything about the year contract and what upsets me is that he would rather tell something important like this to someone outside before discussing it with me first since this is something that will affect us. Idk if im wrong for being upset.
