Hospital Bag for Mama and Baby

I’m 35 weeks into my pregnancy and I truly had the “AHA” moment two days ago where I realized I’m not ready and I’ve gotta get ready! I’m not trying to sound like an idiot but I’ve had a pretty uneventful pregnancy and the last few months have just flown by and I’m now realizing holy crap this tiny human could be here in 4 weeks or in 1 week!

I did all the washing yesterday of baby clothes, bibs, sheets, etc. I’m sterilizing bottles as I type this! And I panic yelled at my husband to take the travel system out of the box (he bought it two months ago and it’s been sitting in cupboard under the stairs ever since we bought it😅) so he’s doing all that now.

My SIL lovingly messaged today to ask if we needed anything and if I had my hospital bag ready to go - I replied “I haven’t cut the tags off my hospital bag let alone put things inside of it”

I’m very much a laid back tomboy who has been known to just roll with the punches and pack for week long vacations a couple hours before my flight. Motherhood is going to be a rude awakening.

Now don’t get me wrong - I have all that I need it’s just not all set up and ready to go. We’ve got diapers, they’re just still in the box. We’ve got clothes, they just haven’t been all put away yet as they were washed only yesterday. We’ve got the car seat it’s just on the living room floor at the moment. I’ve got my hospital bag, it’s just empty right now and not ready at all.

Just looking for help with the necessities. I’m not needing extra things like sound machines and diffusers - just the essentials for mama and baby.

Here’s what I’ve got sorted so far:

-Robe

-Nursing bras (2)

-Disposable undies aka diapers lol

-Slippers

-Comfy tee (2)

- Comfy leggings

- Tracksuit for going home

-Crocs

-Toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, gum, body wash, comb, shampoo, towel, lip balm, cream

-Sleepers (2)

-Swaddle

-Burp cloth (2)

- Muslin blanket

-Hat

FYI we can get diapers, formula in the ready feed bottles with nipples, wipes at the hospital and don’t need to pack them or bring with us.health
