Clomid when you already ovulate

Hello ladies. My hubby and I have been ttc for 13 months now. We got pregnant in December but unfortunately miscarried at 6 weeks. I saw my OB/GYN yesterday to start talking about options and he prescribed me Clomid to start on my next cycle. I also got a referral to a RE, however there is wait.

I believe I already ovulate on my own as I got pregnant in December so I’m wondering how effective Clomid will be. I know it’s supposed to help produce more eggs and therefore increase the chances of conception. I guess I’m looking for to see if anyone else has taken Clomid when they already ovulate naturally and if it was successful. If so, what Clomid cycle did you conceive on?

Yes, I know there are tons of posts on Clomid already but I haven’t seen anything specifically on those who already ovulate.
