How much breast milk for 6 week old?
I started exclusively pumping because baby has a bad latch and wasn’t getting enough on the breast. The past couple weeks I’ve also been supplementing with formula as I try to make sure I was pumping enough and I really wasn’t. He’s been getting both breastmilk and formula together in a bottle equaling to 3 ounces. But then I heard that babies drinking breastmilk need less than those with formula. Is this true? Would I be able to pump and give him less than 3 ounces of breast milk per bottle? Would 2 1/2 or 2.75 ounces every 2 to 3 hours be enough? Keep it at 3 oz? FTM here so I’m learning!! Thanks!
