Would it be wrong if me to convince my boyfriend to look into other careers?

My boyfriend has been working at UPS for over 3 years. He’s been trying to get a driving position for the last two years and was able to drive for peak season last year. He keeps saying that he’ll have a position within the next year which we both know isn’t true. There are a lot of other people that have been qualified that have more seniority and have been waiting years for a position as well. He’s talking about trying to get a job in tech which I think is great since that’s some to big he’s really into. There are also places in our area that would basically pay him to go to some classes for tech and potentially offer him a job after. He says he mainly wants to stick with ups for health insurance and because of the benefits but why sit around making only $300 a week waiting for something that may take several years. Also I work at a major hospital in the area, if we got married then we could get the insurance they offer which is the same that he currently has. It’s just really annoying that he sees ups as his only option sometimes when there’s plenty of other great jobs he can get without a degree in our area
