Can you over feed BF baby with overactive letdown/oversupply ?

I see so much conflicting information on if you can over feed a breast fed baby or not. I’m also unsure what the signs are of over feeding. 13 day old eats at least every 2 hours but lately has only been on the breast maybe 10 minutes and will fall asleep. 
Really struggling with this breast feeding journey and don’t want to go to a bottle until it’s truly time.

That doesnt sound like over feeding to me. When baby is that young, clusterfeeding is normal which could increase the total amount of time you nurse (for reference, i was nursing ~4hrs each day when baby was 2wks old). And personally, unless a medical professional tells you otherwise, dont worry about overfeeding them. I felt like my kids were on my boob 24/7 and their weight percentile kept decreasing by 1-5% at each visit until they started solids (which isnt uncommon for EBF babies). It sounds like youre doing just fine. Hang in there mama!

A directly nursing baby will NOT over feed. Baby has full control of the flow and how much baby wants.

I have a heavy letdown and with my first two I had an oversupply, mercifully my third is a super hungry chubby boy haha. The only time my girls overfed was when they were fussy and just wanting to nurse for comfort, but with my supply milk kept coming out. So they'd get pissed off and spit up. I figured out better when they were done feeding and wanting comfort and I'd switch my breast out with the paci. But unless your baby has spit up consistently or is acting fussy at the breast I wouldn't worry about it. For the vast majority of women, their babies can't overfeed from nursing. To help manage letdown, lean back or nurse on your side.
