Potty training help
My 2 and a half year old daughter is currently potty training. She does pretty good with pooping in the toilet. However, peeing is a whole other situation. We are lucky if she goes once in the toilet when she needs to pee. She can tell me where she needs to go to the bathroom but, it’s like it doesn’t click when she needs to pee. When she does have an accident you can see the disappointment in her eyes. I have tried rewarding her when she does good. I ask her multiple times in an hour if she needs to pee or poop. I even try to set her on the toilet. I remind her on where she goes pees at. She is also in panties so she is aware of the wetness. After she does have an accident she will sit herself on the toilet too. I don’t think this is out of spite or anything like that. I think even though she can telling me she needs to pee in the toilet it doesn’t click when it actually comes time to pee.
I want to help her get it. I am out of ideas on how to make it click.
